In this assignment, I learned how to create captions, a freeze frame, rolling credits, and adjust volume and speed. When making the video, many of the effects and animations I had to add were very new to me and I didn't know how to implement them. It was quite confusing but also very enjoyable and fun as well. This is probably my favorite Premiere Pro assignment so far.

In this assignment, I use the momentum of different clips to make fluid transitions in my video. It was overall quite confusing to find good clips that worked well together but I like my final result. Premiere Pro is one of my favorite software I have used this year.
In this assignment, I created an edit using various video and audio clips. Compared to when I was using images, when I used video clips, I tried to sync various things like the music with some of the actions in the video. I had a little bit of trouble syncing the music and the actions in the video. Overall, making this video was quite enjoyable
During this assignment, I found downloading the images confusing as I sometimes downloaded them far to big and sometime downloaded them far too small. I also took a while to realize how you center the image in the video so that it covers the whole entire screen. On the other hand, I found the process of trimming the time of the images pretty straightforward and simple. I think that overall, working with Premiere Pro to make videos is very enjoyable and fun.
During this assignment, I got far more proficient with the pen tool. Things like the shift key and the direct selection tool feel very natural to use and drawing out shapes wasn't particularly difficult. One thing I found difficult in the assignment was coloring it. Sometimes the wrong part of the shape would get colored and sometimes I had to completely redraw parts of the shape due to the color filling in the wrong parts. Overall this was a very enjoyable assignment but was also very tedious and frustrating to do. When completing the Bezier game, it was pretty frustrating for me to do some of the drawings as things very frequently went wrong. I even accidently had to reset after getting more than halfway done once. Despite this, I found the game really enjoyable. The game really helped me familiarize myself with the pen tool and helped me learn a lot. Very engaging assignment.
I created these 4 icons representing events that happened in Romeo and Juliet. The first icon that I created shows the conflict on the streets between the two famililies that happens at the beginning of the story. The second icon I created is to represnt Romeo and Juliet's secret marriage. I used red and yellow as I thought yellow would be quite a convenient color and red beacuse the play was very tragic. The third icon shows the fight between Mercutio and Tybalt and also the fight between Tybalt and Romeo as it's a very impartant turning point in the story. The last icon shows how both Romeo and Juliet commit suicide at the end of the play. Overall, during this project, I got a lot more familiar with using the basic shapes and the Shapebuilder tool.
During this activity, I created a type specimen about Calibri. The biggest reason I choose to use Calibri was because it was a type specimen that I have seen many times in Microsoft software in the past. I liked its clear and clean design and how standard it was.
During this assignment, the class started using Adobe Illustrator. I learned how to use the more basic tools in Adobe Illustrator like the selection tool and the shape builder tool. I also learned many things to be aware of when using Adobe Illustrator like that you can use the space outside of the artboard when making something. When using the shape builder tool, I could create different shapes by combining shapes and removing parts of shapes. I used half of a circle and a rectangle to make a mushroom object. I found this assignment very simple yet useful at the same time and learned a lot.
In this assignment, I created a box. This box wasn't particularly difficult to make. In this assignment I learned how to assign different IDs to different sides of an object; eventually creating this box. This was a very simple and straightforward assignment. |
